REVIEW: Purlisse Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask

Happy Weekend, Friends!

There’s nothing quite like discovering a good skincare product you can’t wait to tell all your pals about! I’ve mentioned before that I really enjoy trying out different kinds of sheet masks; I find them an easy and effective way to give my skin a little hydration and radiance.

A big trend in the beauty world at the moment is watermelon-scented products. I love it, I’m here for it, and I am trying out as much as I can (watermelon-themed post coming in the VERY near future).

I found the Purlisse Watermelon Sheet Masks as I normally do, perusing Amazon.com.

If you aren’t familiar with the brand Purlisse, The CEO/Creator is Jennifer Yen (she’s gorgeous), and she was inspired by her grandmother to create a skincare line that embraced her Asian heritage. Purlisse is also cruelty-free.

As I mentioned, I picked up a box of 6 masks for around $18.00. You can also purchase a single mask for around $5.00.

The Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask is a natural fiber material infused with watermelon, aloe vera, and cucumber. These ingredients work together to fight free radicals, as well as soothe and nourish the skin.

  • Watermelon: locks in moisture
  • Aloe Vera: reduces inflammation
  • Cucumber: soothes skin

I have been doing these masks in the morning, as they are very hydrating and leave my skin with a subtle glowy radiance. I think that this mask is a great way to start the day or as an afternoon pick-me-up. The masks are undeniably very watermelon-scented. You can definitely smell it the entire time the mask is on, but it does dissipate after removing the mask. I happen to LOVE watermelon-scented things- I find the smell very revitalizing and instantly mood-lifting!

The directions are to unfold the mask, wear for 15-20 minutes, and not to rinse it off after. I have left the mask on for longer than 20 minutes, and it didn’t irritate or sting my skin at all.

I have found this mask to have the perfect amount of moisture to it. It isn’t dripping in essence and running down your neck, but you are left with leftover serum to pat into the skin. The formula is slightly tacky for awhile, but it does eventually dry down and plays well with other skincare/makeup. The material of the mask isn’t overly delicate to the point where you might rip it while unfolding. It feels very durable and fits well on my face.

I’ve used 4 of the 6 masks, and I must say that I really LOVE these. They just leave the skin with instant brightness and hydration, while being SO gentle! I plan to use up the box and repurchase again to keep in my mask rotation.

Highly recommend these if you complexion is suffering from dullness, dehydration, and just needs a little boost of radiance!
