HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!
There’s nothing better than getting sucked into an Amazon.com marathon shopping session. I’ve spent hours on end searching for random makeup products, skincare, clothes, shoes. etc.! I’m not sure how I ever lived without this website.
Having said this, I’ve ended up purchasing a lot of random products, especially beauty-related ones. Being the blush-loving human that I am, I stumbled upon these 3-in-1 Lip + Cheek palettes from UNDONE BEAUTY that claims to “Blush, Highlight, and Tint” with customizable “sheer-to-opaque color.” Naturally, I was curious.
I took a closer look at the UNDONE brand, and found a ton of makeup products they offer with the same concept of customizing your own depth of color/coverage. I found the brand as a whole to be super interesting, their goal is aimed at creating problem-solving products for everyday use at an affordable price point. I also really appreciated the fact that they use “natural” ingredients which are vegan and cruelty free.
Each of the Palettes retail for $7.00 USD each on Amazon.com HERE
Of the 3 shades available, I decided to purchase the blush in the colors — “Berry” and “Blazen”. Here’s how these unique little palettes are laid out:
- “Blazen” (described as a sunny coral with warm undertones) is pictured to the left
- “Berry” (described as a rich raspberry with blue undertones) is on the right
Hopefully, you can tell that the palette is sectioned out in 3 “layers”. Each layer has a different formulation, with a suggested use based on the amount of pigmentation it provides.
- The Top Layer is the most sheer — use for lips and dewy* touches
- The Middle Layer is considered medium coverage- for lips and cheeks
- The Bottom layer is described as intense — use for lips, liner, and “long-lasting blush”
*The dewy finish is claimed to be from the ingredient of coconut extract
Side Note: I REALLY loved the sleek, minimal packaging these guys arrived in– cute little holographic pouches!
I didn’t waste much time to swatch these out and see if they lived up to the claims….
Individual Photo of “Blazen” along with its swatch below:

This swatch goes from L to R: top section, middle section, and bottom section. I built up each swatch with 2 layers.
Here’s the Photo and Swatch of “Berry”
Swatch of “Berry” — from L to R: Bottom Section, Middle Section, Top Section
As I was going through to swatch each “section”, it was really cool to notice the marked texture difference in each. The most sheer layer was a little bit more stiff and had more limited blend-ability, the bottom (high coverage section) was very emollient feeling and deposited color effortlessly. The “slip” of each section increased as the coverage went up. Playing with these was honestly so much fun and surprising to see how much of a difference each formulation change made. I can definitely see the glow and radiance that the blushes provide.
In terms of application, I found it easiest to apply the product to my hand to first warm it up, then use a dense stipple brush to pat and blend in. Like my normal makeup application routine, I find it easiest to apply my bronzer first, then add in this product for blush. I like to apply a generous layer of the middle section as a base color, then add color to the apples of my cheeks with the bottom section. SO GORGEOUS!
Lip Application:
As I might have mentioned earlier, with each step up of color intensity the formula gets more opaque and matte. It’s super easy to apply these to the lips; I usually go in with the most intense layer and apply with a fingertip. To add a gloss-like finish, I’ll add some of the top layer for a shiny look. Overall, these feel like a very nourishing lip balm that doesn’t emphasize texture or fine lines on the lips.
The most fun thing about these products and the UNDONE brand, is that you can play around with the different finishes/colors to create YOUR own custom look. I’ve layered both colors together on my cheeks/lips at the same time and created some really beautiful looks. For more precision, you can also use a lip brush to apply the product and smooth or blur the outer edges for a perfected look.
*Check out my FAVORITE lip detailer brush in this set. Such a game-changer!
Overall, I just think this brand has some of the most unique and innovative products I’ve used in a while. I love that you can just play with and layer the different formulations to create your own look. I’m super impressed with the quality of the product for such an affordable price tag, and I think this is just a fun addition to your collection!
I just ordered the concealer product from this line, and the highest coverage formulation is claimed to cover TATTOOS! I can’t wait to play with it.
I’ll keep y’all posted!!
So what do y’all think, is this a brand you might want to check out? If you have some of the UNDONE products, reply below and share your thoughts! I love this little new brand discovery so far!
